| The tradition of Annual Giving contributes to the success and financial health of independent schools and private colleges. Waterford relies on these annual contributions to offset the educational expenses not covered by tuition and fees. These contributions allow parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and friends of Waterford to be involved in the continual growth, renewal and innovations at the school, the hallmark of any dynamic educational institution. The Waterford School is a non-profit institution and contributions are tax deductible. The goal set by parents for this school year is to raise $325,000 in unrestricted cash gifts. Funds raised from the Silent Auction and Golf Classic also contribute toward this annual goal.
In addition Capital Campaigns will be initiated every five to ten years and will rely heavily upon parent and community support. These Capital Campaigns are designed to capitalize and strengthen significant projects such as new campus construction, major renovation and the school endowment. |
