| EXTRACURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES |

Student Government, Community Service Council, Outdoor Program, Yearbook, Literary Magazine, Newspaper, Ballet Academy, Debate, Math Team, and Science Club. Students participate in school plays and instrumental and vocal music performances. Summer Term offers additional opportunities for further study and travel. During Summer Term, students participate in a unique combination of lectures, seminars, labs, fieldwork, research, presentation, and performance. Upper School students also participate in Interim each year which may range from mountain climbing and biking excursions to art exhibits, college visits and museum tours. | |
| Waterford’s community service programs are robust and involve students from the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. Under the direction of student leaders and faculty advisors, students participate in multiple service projects throughout the year. | |
Waterford offers a full array of individual, team and recreational sports. It holds State Championships in Baseball (‘04), Boy’s Lacrosse (‘03, ‘04, ‘06), Boy’s Soccer (‘03 and ‘07), Girl’s Soccer (’07), Boy’s Basketball (‘02), Girl’s Cross Country (‘04), Boy’s Tennis (‘05 and ‘07), Girl’s Tennis (‘00, ‘02, ‘03) and Golf (‘99, ‘00, ‘01, ‘02, ‘03, ‘04). | |
Upper School athletic teams participate in the Utah High School Activities Association Division IIIA. Competition teams include Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Women’s Volleyball, Cross Country, Track, Men’s and Women’s Soccer and Men’s and Women’s Golf. Also, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, Racquetball and Crew. Middle School athletic teams compete in the Wasatch Athletics Conference (comprised of private schools along the Wasatch front). Competition teams include Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball, Boy’s and Girl’s Lacrosse, Boy’s and Girl’s Cross Country, Boy’s and Girl’s Soccer, and Girl’s Volleyball. |
